Alessandra is an Italian psychologist registered as a General Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and with the Italian Board of Psychology. She is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Alessandra offers individual and relationship counselling for a range of presentations. She is committed to ongoing professional development and utilise evidence-based treatments (including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapies).


Academic & Professional Background

Alessandra completed a master degree in clinical and community psychology in Italy and trained in a variety of setting (e.g., Psychiatric Hospital, University of Padova Counselling Service). She also completed a PhD in Developmental Psychology on child anxiety and parenting styles (“Anxiety in British and Italian children: the role of maternal warmth”), and worked as researcher in Academia for 10 years.

Alessandra lived and worked in different countries, with different clients with a diverse range of presentations. She worked with immigrants and people who experience stress and depression when adjusting to different social structures, values, expectations.  She offers an integrative approach to psychotherapy and psychological counselling.
